Julia Moon

줄리아 문의 작업은 이동과 경계 경험을 기반으로, 신체와 공간의 관계를 탐구한다. 유화를 기반으로 한 그의 회화는 유동적으로 중첩되는 색과 형태의 레이어를 통해 신체의 감각을 구축한다. 화면 속 신체는 고정된 형태가 아니라 공간과 상호작용하며 끊임없이 변형되고, 왜곡과 중첩, 해체와 재구성의 과정을 통해 경계는 유동적으로 흔들린다. 이는 ‘형성 중인 존재’에 대한 회화적 탐구이다. 영국 옥스퍼드 대학교 학부를 졸업하고, 현재 왕립예술대학(Royal College of Art) 석사 과정에 재학 중이며 올해 졸업 예정이다. 주요 전시로는 디아컨템포러리(서울, 2026), Kersgallery(암스테르담, 2026), KOPPLE Collective(런던, 2025), CICA 미술관(김포, 2024), Modern Art Oxford(옥스퍼드, 2023), 경인미술관(서울, 2024) 등 다수의 그룹전에 참여했다. Exploring the physical and metaphorical malleability of space, Julia Moon’s paintings focus on the boundaries where body and object dissolve and reassemble. Moon orchestrates ongoing moments of transformation, in which forms remain fluid yet unstable, occupying a liminal state where identity is continuously shaped and reshaped under pressure. Her practice traces how the body perceives and redefines its position within shifting spatial conditions, revealing moments in which forms transform into abstract and unfamiliar states. Julia Moon graduated BFA in Fine Art at Ruskin School of Art, University of Oxford and currently studies at Royal College of Art for MFA in Painting.
