Yoon Jungeun

윤정은은 시간의 흐름을 작품으로 표현한다. 작가는 시각적으로 상상되는 무형의 공간을 캔버스 안에서 재창조하는데, 천, 자개, 실, 테이프 등 다양한 재료를 끊임없이 반복적인 패턴을 만들어 자신만의 추상화된 풍경화를 표현해 오고 있다. 작가는 집약적인 작업 과정을 통해 시각의 축적을 시각화하는 작품으로 인간의 삶과 예술이 삶이 공명할 수 있음을 고찰한다. 작가의 반복적인 행위는 명상의 시간이자 수행의 시간이며, 인내의 시간이다. 이러한 그의 작업 정신은 정신을 수양하고 탐구하며 새로운 치유의 공간을 창조해 내는 단색화의 정신과 맞닿아 있다. 섬세한 조형성에 대한 아름다움에 귀 기울이고자 하는 작가는 재료를 통해 조용히 존재하는 물성에 대한 힘과 그 안에서 다양한 질서를 발견한다. 그리고 동시에 자신의 수행적인 행위를 통해 표현된 작품으로 진리를 탐독하고 치유의 역할을 하는 작품을 선보임으로써 보는 이들에게 사색할 수 있는 시간을 함께 공유하고자 한다. 윤정은은 호주 멜버른에 위치한 RMIT 대학교 예술대학에서 회화과와 동 대학원을 졸업하였다. 작가는 멜버른에 위치한 멜버른 아트 소사이어티, Tacit 갤러리, Quadrant 갤러리, BSPS, Yehin와 싱가포르에 위치한 Goodman Arts Center, Andrew Shire 갤러리, ION 갤러리 등의 기획전에 참여하며 싱가포르와 호주에서 활동하고 있다. 2022년 휴 갤러리 싱가포르에서 개인전을 개최하였다. Yoon Jungeun expresses the passage of time through her artwork. The artist recreates intangible spaces visually imagined within the canvas, using various materials such as cloth, mother-of-pearl, thread, and tape to create repetitive patterns, thus expressing her abstracted landscapes. Through her intensive working process, she visualizes the accumulation of visual stimuli in her artwork, reflecting on how human life and art can resonate with each other. Her repetitive actions serve as moments of meditation, practice, and patience. This artistic spirit of monochrome painting is intertwined with a spirit of nurturing the mind, exploring, and creating new spaces for healing. Focusing on the beauty of delicate forms, the artist pays attention to the power of the quiet existence inherent in the materials, discovering various orders within them. Simultaneously, through her performative acts expressed in her artwork, she seeks to explore truth and play a healing role, inviting viewers to share a contemplative time together. Yoon Jung-eun graduated from the School of Art at RMIT University in Melbourne, Australia. She has participated in exhibitions at various venues such as the Melbourne Art Society, Tacit Gallery, Quadrant Gallery, BSPS, Yehin in Melbourne, and Goodman Arts Center, Andrew Shire Gallery, and ION Gallery in Singapore, where she is currently active. She held solo exhibition in 2022 at Gllery Huue Singapore.
