새로운 변화가 시작되는 작은 지점 예술은 우리의 감성을 자극하며, 각기 다른 시선과 방식으로 삶에 색다른 경험과 의미를 선사하고, 일상에서 놓치기 쉬운 아름다움을 발견한다. 또한 확장된 매체와 기존의 형식을 넘어서는 예술적 시도는 다채로운 세계를 열어준다. 우리는 예술을 통해 감정을 표현하고 공감하며, 이러한 예술적 경험은 삶을 한층 더 풍부하게 해 준다. 나아가 우리의 삶에 창조적인 영감을 준다. 새로운 시작을 알리는 Tipping Point 그간 싱가포르를 기반으로 한국작가들을 소개하였던 휴컨템포러리가 Discover Inspiration Artistry (DIA, 디아)로 명칭을 변경하며, 서울 연희동에 전시 공간을 새로이 자리 잡았다. 생활과 예술이 공존하는 연희동은 평범한 주택가 골목을 따라 다양한 예술 문화 공간들이 제각각의 모습들로 오래된 동네와 조화를 이루며, 주민 문화를 기반으로 삶을 매력적인 문화를 만들어가고 있다. 기존의 주민의 삶에 예술 문화를 녹여 주민들과 함께 새로운 문화를 찾아 나서는 젊은이들이 한데 어울려져 독특한 분위기를 형성하여 일상 속에서 ‘연희’라는 하나의 브랜드를 만들며, 새로운 영감을 불러일으키는 곳으로 자리잡았다. 이처럼 경험과 문화의 공간 등 다양성과 가변성을 가지는 연희동 성격은 디아 컨템포러리의 성향과 맞닿아 있다. 그동안 디아 컨템포러리가 수집한 작품들로 구성된 이번 전시를 시작으로, 앞으로 다양한 전시를 통해 일상에 스며드는 예술적 영감을 통해 예술적 성취나 창의적인 사고는 누구에게나 열려 있음을 보여주며, 일상과 예술의 경계를 허물고 자유롭게 시각적 대화를 나눌 수 있는 소통의 장을 형성하고자 한다. 그리고 DIA Contemporary의 독특한 시각과 실험적인 예술방식을 탐구하며, 일상속에 무언가 자신만의 예술적이고 창의적인 새로운 감각을 일깨우고, 예술적 영감을 제시하고자 한다. 이로서 경험하지 못한 새로운 예술과 예술가의 커뮤니케이션을 연결하는 차별화된 전시 공간으로 새로운 예술 Tipping Point가 되기를 기대한다. Tipping Point heralding a new beginning Formerly known as Huue Contemporary, which introduced Korean artists abroad based in Singapore, has now changed its name to Discover Inspiration Artistry (DIA) and established a new exhibition space in Yeonhui-dong, Seoul. Yeonhui-dong, where life and art coexist, harmonizes with the old neighborhood through various art and cultural spaces, either sleek or vintage, creating an appealing cultural atmosphere based on the residents' culture. Young people, integrating art and culture into the lives of the existing residents, have come together to create a unique atmosphere, forming a brand called 'Yeonhui' in their daily lives, becoming a place that invokes new inspirations. This diversity and variability in the space of experience and culture in Yeonhui-dong resonate with the orientation of DIA Contemporary. The new DIA Contemporary aims to demonstrate that artistic achievement and creative thinking are open to everyone through various exhibitions that permeate daily life with artistic inspiration, aiming to break down the boundaries between daily life and art and create a space for free visual dialogue and communication. By exploring DIA Contemporary's unique vision and experimental artistic methods, it seeks to awaken something new and artistic in the everyday, offering artistic inspiration. Thus, it hopes to become a distinctive exhibition space that connects unexperienced new art and communication of artists, serving as a new art tipping point.
